Welcome to Children's Ministries at Broadmoor. It is our desire that each child who enters these doors will feel God's love and be nurtured in his word so they will grow into disciples for Jesus Christ. Opportunities for worship, learning, and fellowship are offered on Sundays and throughout the week. For more information, you are invited to call Charlotte Napper, Director of Children and Family Ministries, 924-6269.

Opportunities for Children
Acolytes are an important part of the Traditional Worship Services at Broadmoor. They serve as leaders in the 8:30 and 11:00 services by lighting the altar candles and assisting with the offering. Children age 4th—6th grade are trained each year.
Camp Adventure is an overnight campout experience held each fall. Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders have the opportunity to travel to a local camp ground and get to know one another better
Bible Presentation and Bible Fair is a very special day for 3rd graders in the fall of each year. Bibles are presented to our 3rd graders during the worship services at 8:30 and 11:00AM. (Bibles are personalized with their name, the date, and the signature of our Senior Pastor.) Children and their parents are invited to attend a reception during the 9:45 Sunday school hour where they will enjoy refreshments and special activities using their new Bible.
ConfirmationClass for sixth graders is offered each year. Confirmands learn about The United Methodist Church, discipleship, and membership in a congregation. They visit other worshiping faith communities, participate in mission projects and end with a retreat where they will write their class creed. Confirmation begins in January and continues into May.
Vacation Bible School is an exciting experience for children entering Kindergarten – 6th grade. It is a week-long opportunity for fun and fellowship while learning more about God’s word and how to apply it to daily life. Each day includes sanctuary time, Bible stories, crafts, music, and an emphasis on mission and outreach.
Special Studies for Children are offered to children ages kindergarten through 6th grade. They are offered on a variety of subjects and throughout the year. Watch for them in the Order of Worship and Beacon.
A Night in Bethlehem
Get ready to step back in time and make some family memories that will last for years to come. As you set foot in our church, your family will travel back to ancient Bethlehem. You’ll see, taste, and feel what life was like when Jesus was born. (Takes place in early December).
