Weekday Receptionist – answer telephones, greet office visitors, and help with general clerical tasks such as applying mailing labels to envelopes or cards, collating, stapling, stuffing envelopes, etc. Shifts are four hours (8:30 – 12:30, 12:30 – 4:30) one day a week.
Substitute Weekday Receptionist – have the same responsibilities as the weekday receptionist when called on to substitute for regularly scheduled receptionists.
Sunday Morning Receptionist – responsible for answering phones, taking messages, answering questions (usually about times of services and Sunday School classes), greeting visitors and others who come into the office, locating the custodian when needed, and handling CD requests. Sunday receptionist hours are 8:15-9:30 a.m., 9:30-10:45 a.m., 10:45-12:00 p.m.
Mailout Volunteer – assist church staff and ministry areas with churchwide mailouts by labeling, stuffing, sealing and sorting for bulk mailing. Volunteers are called as needed.
Beacon Ministry Team – folding the printed newsletter and insert additional pages (Tuesday afternoons) or apply mailing labels and tabs (Wednesday mornings). Additionally, volunteers are needed to take the mailing to the post office. Time required for folding and inserting pages is approximately two hours on Tuesday afternoons. Mailing volunteers work about three hours on Wednesday morning.
Computer Data Entry – volunteers are needed to help enter information into the computer. Work is done at the church office anytime during the week.
Sunday School Attendance Secretary – collects attendance information from the Sunday school bags after each of the Sunday school hours and records and files this information. Copies of these records are given to ministers and other staff members.
Bus Driver – must be qualified, licensed drivers over the age of 25 with experience in driving buses (training provided) and with good driving records. They are needed to drive the church buses to and from various activities for different age groups. This may involve short-time events or day long (possibly even weekend) events. For insurance purposes, all bus drivers must be members of the church.
Worship Attendance Recorder – persons are needed to post weekly worship attendance into the church computer. Scheduling is flexible and takes approximately 2.5 hours per week to input all of our worship services for the week.
Notary – occasionally a notary is needed to come to the church campus and volunteer services to notarize legal documents such as hold harmless documents.
